Longview man arrested after weekend shooting
LONGVIEW — On July 14, 2012 around 7:30 p.m., Longview Police arrived on the scene of a reported shooting on the 1900 block of Wagster St.
Witnesses told officers that a black man had been shot, and was driving to a local hospital in his own car.
The man had been shot one time, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
The shooter was identified as 37 year old LaDerrick Morgan, of Longview.
Morgan later went to the police station to speak to detectives.
He told them that he had been in an argument with the victim, who then followed Morgan to his house.
That's where Morgan allegedly shot the victim one time.
He was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Police are still investigating the incident.
