A Longview man was sentenced to seven years in prison Monday after he confessed to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old mentally disabled boy.

Court records from the 188th District Court show Bobby Ray Jackson, 54, pleaded guilty to engaging in various sexual acts with the boy on Jan. 2, 2012.

The boy told police the assaults started in late 2010 when he was 13 years old, police reports show.

The assaults took place at Jackson’s apartment at Tree House Apartments, 600 W. Avalon Ave., police said.

Reports show the boy told police Jackson would give him $5 to $10, let him watch movies — including pornographic films — and gave him sodas and food.

Jackson threatened to withhold money if the boy ever told police and threatened to hurt him if anyone found out about their relationship, according to police.
