Longview — At the recent Army Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame dinner at Fort Benning, Ga., former Longview resident and LeTourneau University graduate 2nd Lt. Chip Glass was honored for his achievements and officially named the 2012 Patterson Award recipient.

The award is “for somebody who exemplifies a great leader, an infantry leader … lives the Army values,” said Capt. Daniel Mikus, who served as Glass’s platoon trainer for the latter portion of his time in OCS.
