Longview officer injured as spikes stop vehicle
Lonvgview — Authorities were piecing together a chain of events Monday night that left two people injured — including a Longview officer — when police were forced to deploy road spikes to stop a vehicle on East Marshall Avenue.
Debra Stiles, police spokeswoman, said the incident happened about 8:30 p.m. and resulted in shots fired just west of the intersection of Eastman Road and Marshall Avenue. Stiles couldn’t confirm late Thursday night if the shots came from the man driving the vehicle that was stopped or from police officers.
