Longview PD to host Women's safety seminar

The Longview Police Department will hold a Women's Safety seminar in April. The five day class will run April 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. each night. This seminar is free of charge and will focus on women and their safety.

Longview police will cover workplace violence and women, general women’s safety, a firearms simulator course, and a handgun safety course.

The last day of the course participants will have the opportunity to go to the Longview Police Department’s firing range and shoot their weapons.

This class is open to any female at least 18 years of age or older. Participants who wish to attend the handgun safety portion of the class must pass a criminal background check. Participants DO NOT have to be a resident of Longview to attend the classes.
