Longview, TX — Longview police Monday said the motorist who struck a Longview police officer’s patrol car head-on Sunday morning faces charges of intoxicated assault.

Police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said officer Leigh Ann Snyder’s patrol car was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Ramon Antonio Dominguez around 8 a.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of Loop 281, between Sabine Street and Texas 31.

Brian said Dominguez was under the influence of alcohol when he lost control of his Toyota Scion, traveled across the median and struck Snyder’s car.
