Longview Police Arrest Man in Shooting

LONGVIEW - Longview police made an arrest for the shooting that killed one man Friday evening at 412 Helane Lane.

48 year-old Robert Wayne Howell was arrested early Saturday and booked into the Gregg County Jail for murder.

Officers responded to Howell's residence around 7:20 Friday night when they found a man inside was shot once and killed.

Before the shooting, officers say the men fought.

The victim's identity hasn't been released yet.
