Longview Police arrest three homeless suspects for 'stowing away' on a train car

Three homeless suspects are now behind bars after Longview Police find them on a railcar.

It happened at 11:41 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Longview Police were called to the Union Pacific railroad tracks near the area of Premier Road.

Officers were told that was a person who had "stowed away" on one of the cars near the back of the train.

On arrival, authorities found three people and a dog riding on the exterior of a railroad car.

Gabriel Matthew Kerr, 19, Felicia Torres, 18, and Deajoney Marie Brooks, 25, admitted they had hopped on the train in Shreveport, Louisiana and were heading to California.

The three were arrested for interfering with railroad property and taken to Gregg County Jail without incident.

The dog was taken to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas.
