Longview Police are working to identify a man involved in a armed robbery at a local restaurant.

It happened on December 20, 2013 at 10:39 p.m. at China King in the 400 block of west Loop 281.

When officers arrived on scene, the victim told police that a white male, about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet in height with an unshaven face with white patches on the right side of his face, approached her at the register.

The man then brandished a weapon and demanded to be given money.

The clerk gave him the money and he left the restaurant with an unknown amount of cash.

The man was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, dark colored jeans, and an orange baseball cap. He is believed to have left the scene in a dark silver or champange colored four-door passenger car.

After seeing surveillance video, the man had been in the restaurant for a few minutes prior to the robbery, approached the counter, took a menu, and left.

This case is still under investigation.

Longview Police ask that anyone with any information call the Longview Police Department at 903-237-1199 or Gregg County Crime Stoppers at 903-236-STOP.
