Longview Police Officers and Detectives have arrested two suspects in connection with a string of overnight robberies early Wednesday morning.

On May 19, 2010 at around 11:19 p.m., Longview Officers responded to a robbery at the Village South Apartments at 717 South Green Street. The victim told officers that 4-5 male suspects with handguns attempted to rob him in the parking lot and then fled on foot. The description given by the victim and witnesses matched very closely to the description of the suspects in three separate robberies the previous night.

Officers investigating the robbery received information about the suspects’ possible whereabouts that led them to an apartment at the Ware Meadows Apartments at 901 South High Street.

At the apartment, officers arrested one adult and one juvenile suspect and charged both of them with four counts of aggravated robbery. In addition, officers seized handguns believed to be used in the robberies and recovered stolen property belonging to some of the victims. Additional suspects were identified and detectives are currently obtaining warrants for their arrest. Due to the nature of the ongoing investigation, additional information is not available at this time. More details will be released as they are available.
