Longview police need help finding hotel robbers
LONGVIEW - Longview Police Detectives are asking the public for help solving two recent hotel robberies:
The first robbery occurred on April 17, 2010 at approximately 5:00 a.m. at the Best Western at 707 North Access Road. Hotel employees told investigators that two men entered the hotel, approached the front desk and demanded money from the clerk. The shorter of the two suspects displayed a handgun and fired the gun in the direction of the clerk twice during the robbery.
The clerk was not injured and the suspects fled the hotel with cash from the register. The suspects are described as:
1. Black male, 25-30 years old, approximately 6’00” tall, wearing dark colored clothing, gloves and a bandana covering his face.
2. Black male, 25-30 years old, approximately 5’08” tall, wearing dark colored clothing, gloves and a ski mask covering his face and head.
The second robbery occurred on April 25, 2010 at approximately 2:00 a.m. at the Microtel Inn and Suites at 803 North Access Road. Hotel employees reported that a man entered the hotel, produced a handgun and demanded money from the desk clerk. During the robbery, the suspect fired a shot, but the clerk was not injured. The suspect fled the hotel with money from the cash drawer and is described as:
1. Black male, mid-20’s, approximately 5’07”-5’08” tall, with a stocky build and weighing around 180-190 pounds. The suspect was wearing a blue plaid shirt-style jacket, unknown color pants, a black stocking cap on the top portion of his head, black gloves and a red bandanna over his face. The suspect exhibited a blued-steel semi-automatic handgun.
