Students from Ned E Williams, J.L. Everhart, Johnston McQueen, Bramlette and Ware elementary schools; Judson and Forest Park middle schools and Longview High School will be participating in the district’s 2012 Special Education Track and Field Day, slated for Friday at Lobo Stadium.

Events include wheelchair races, assisted walk/run races, dashes, developmental bowling, tennis ball throw, softball throw, shuttle run, standing long jump and tug-of-war.

Volunteers from various Longview High School groups will be assisting on this day. Members from the Lobos football team, Viewettes, LHS cheerleaders, student council and Forever Friends will be assisting.

Student-athletes will begin to arrive at the stadium about 9 a.m., with opening ceremonies taking place after all students arrive.
