Longview to hold town hall meetings concerning road improvements

Longview, TX --- In conjunction with the work of the recently formed Streets Task Force, Longview Mayor Jay Dean is asking for input from residents at two “Streets Town Meetings.” The sole purpose of the meetings will be to discuss street improvement needs throughout Longview.
Hosted by Mayor Jay Dean and District 2 City Councilman Daryl Williams, the first Streets Town Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex, 100 Grand Blvd.
Hosted by Mayor Jay Dean, the second Streets Town Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, at New Heights Church, 1500 W. Hawkins Pkwy.
For residents unable to attend the meetings, comments and questions may be submitted online at LongviewTexas.gov/streets-task-force. The Mayor or city staff will make an effort to respond to all streets-related questions that are submitted. If received in advance of the town meetings, some questions submitted online may be chosen to be answered during the town meeting.
All citizens are encouraged to attend and share concerns, comments and ideas. Attendance at Town Meetings is open to residents from throughout the community.
