Longview to host Fishing Rodeo on June 22

The City of Longview Partners in Prevention will host the 35th Annual Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Teague Park Lake, 415 American Legion Blvd. The Fishing Rodeo is a simple contest to see who can catch the most fish within a given amount of time. Trophies will be awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers.

Registration for the free event is from 9:30 – 9:55 a.m. Fishing will take place from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., and trophies will be awarded at 11:00 a.m. Participants must provide their own fishing equipment.

According to event organizer Keeta King, “The Fishing Rodeo is a fun and recreational outdoor opportunity for kids to test their fishing skills.”
