Longview woman pleads guilty to aggravated kidnapping
Longview — A Longview woman accused of plotting to steal a newborn baby — either by killing a mother with a newborn or by cutting the fetus from an expectant mother — on Wednesday pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping but will have to wait until the new year to learn her fate.
Tanya Lynette Bradley, 31, entered an open plea in front of Judge Alfonso Charles of the 124th District Court.
An open plea, Charles explained, means no agreement on punishment has been reached.
The plea leaves multiple sentencing options on the table, including Bradley serving anywhere from five to 99 years in prison, getting probation or deferred adjudication.
