Iberia Parish, LA — A woman working at a restaurant in Iberia Parish, LA fought off an armed robber with a pot.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the attempted armed robbery happened at a Barbeque restaurant on Monday, Aug. 20 shortly before 5:00 p.m.

The victim was reportedly in the restaurant when a black man wearing a dark shirt and dark pants confronted her with a knife.

The woman says she grabbed a nearby cooking pot and began striking the man repeatedly with it.

The man then ran away.

Iberia Parish Sheriff's officials are still looking for him.

The suspect is described as being 6’0” weighing approximately 170 pounds.

He could have noticeable injuries from the encounter with the woman.
