Lovie Smith headed to Texas Sports Hall of Fame

A Heisman Trophy winner, two national championship college coaches and the winningest high school football coach in state history are part of the newest class to be inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
The 10-member class to be inducted in February includes Texas A&M women's basketball coach Gary Blair, whose Aggies won last season's national championship, and Texas football coach Mack Brown, who led the Longhorns to the 2005 national title.
Among others in the class are 1989 Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware from Houston, eight-time state championship prep football coach G.A. Moore, Beaumont native Bubba Smith, Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith from Big Sandy and PGA Tour golfer Fred Couples.
