Cleanup crews are expected to converge on West End beaches Monday
Galveston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; Cleanup crews are expected to converge on Galveston's West End beaches Monday to remove hundreds of thousands of dead fish that washed ashore early Sunday.
Peter Davis, chief of the Galveston Island Beach Patrol, said the small shad fish likely were killed by low oxygen levels in the gulf.
