It happened shortly after 3 p.m. on West Menefee Avenue.
Lufkin officers were called to a residential burglary, where a woman reported being inside her house and hearing the sound of breaking glass at the back of the residence. Upon entering the backyard, the victim saw a man running from a broken window.
The woman described the burglar as a black male, about 5'6" and wearing a khaki shirt and white shorts. The victim also noted two very distinctive features of the man. She said at the back, middle of his head is the shape of a star that was shaved into his short hair. In addition, she claims the burglar had a pinkish-in-color, horizontal scar running from the star shaved in his hair to the back of his right ear.
Officers were unable to find the burglar. Once the man is identified, evidence collected at the scene can be used to link him to the crime. Your help is needed in putting a name to the victim’s description
