Grant approved in Tuesday evening meeting

The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; Lufkin area residents will have another tool at their disposal to help with the growing number of unwanted, abandoned or stray animals.

The City Council approved a grant for a no cost neuter and spay program, in their Tuesday evening meeting.

Money to fund the program comes from a $50,000 grant, provided by Texas’ Animal Friendly Fund, which is generated from the sale of spay/neuter license plates.
