Lufkin Ducks Unlimited banquet set for Saturday
Event set for Pitser Garrison Civic Center
Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; Duck hunters, outdoorsmen and people concerned about wildlife habitat can help support Ducks Unlimited at a Saturday event slated for the Pitser Garrison Civic Center.
Ducks Unlimited, the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving North America’s continually disappearing waterfowl habitats, will host its annual banquet Saturday evening.
Established in 1937, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 12 million acres thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters across the continent, according to its website.
One of the banquet's organizers; Monica Hills says. “We have about 300 members locally, but we’re always needing more volunteers.”
The banquet begins at 5:30 with a dinner, raffle, silent auction and auction. Tickets are $35 each or $60 for couples.
