LUFKIN — Lufkin police have arrested a man accused of stealing money from his employer to pay his bills.

Our news partners, KTBB, report that Jon Thomas Lacount, 37, is accused of stealing over $100,000 over several years from East Texas Open MRI.

Investigators say Lacount used the money for his credit cards, dental bills, groceries, vehicle work and property taxes.

The Angelina County grand jury indicted Lacount earlier this week. He is currently free on a $20,000 bond.

If he is convicted of this crime, throw the book at him!!!! No excuse!
