LUFKIN - On Wednesday, September 15, police got a report that two known suspects stole beer from a convenience store in the 700 block of Southwood Drive. According to a store employee, the suspects, one of which is in a wheelchair, came in the store together. While one of them walked up to the cash register counter, the wheelchair-user removed a 30-count package of beer from the cooler and both suspects left the store without making payment.

According to the report, the officers searched the area. Since the store employee identified the suspects, officers looked in their neighborhoods as well, but were unable to find them. The incident is still under investigation.
