Lufkin, TX (KETK) — Lufkin Police need the public's help to identify a man who was involved in theft of a big screen TV from a Lufkin area Wal-mart back in December.
According to the store's loss prevention employee, the man entered the store just before noon on December 17, 2012, and pushed an empty shopping cart to the electronics department.
The store's security video shows that he spent a few moments browsing before selecting a forty-six-inch Sanyo brand LCD 1080p HD television, loaded it into the shopping cart, and then pushing the cart and TV out of the store without paying.
From the security video, you can see that the thief is a white male who, at the time of the theft, had dark, short-cut hair and thin facial hair. He wore a grey hooded sweat shirt, blue t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
Before store employees reacted to the theft, the suspect loaded the television into a vehicle and driven away.
A witness described the thief's vehicle as a silver SUV, possibly a Toyota 4Runner.
