Luminant Power Company and Tyler Junior College have collaborated to create the Power Track program that is proving to be more than successful for the students enrolled in it. The most recent graduating class has 24 students already in the work force.

Director of Luminant Academy, Dirk Hughes is excited about the success of the students and was showering them with praised at their graduation.

Power Track graduates have been in the program for the past two years. During that time they've been applying what they were learning in the classroom to real life activities. They worked in a hands-on lab, as well as gotten involved in an internship program between freshman and sophomore semesters.

For graduate Joel Medoza, it was a great personal accomplishment. He was the first in his family to graduate from college.

Director Hughes believes these students are not only going to be excellent assests to the company, but to all of Texas.

Luminant offers the Power Track Aptitude Test for free to high school students interested in the Power Track Program.
