Organizers want city to join other communities in going "smoke free."

Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; organizers of a grass-roots movement in Lufkin say it's time the city join other communities like: Longview, Tyler and Nacogdoches in putting the curb on smoking.

Smoke Free Lufkin organizers sent-out postcards to residents asking their opinion. Their survey showed them overwhelming numbers of East Texans wanting a change in current smoking ordinances.
