Man arrested in Cherokee Co. oilfield thefts also connected to Angelina Co. crimes

Officials with the Angelina County Sheriff's office tell KETK, they have linked 26 year old Ricky Schakosky, who was arrested at the end of June in Cherokee County, to similar crimes in several counties.

On June 27, Cherokee County officials arrested Schakosky outside of a hotel in Jacksonville, where they knew him to be staying.

He was charged in Cherokee County for failure to identify, forgery, and failure to appear in court. He was booked into Cherokee County Jail.

Sgt. Mike Jones, an investigator for Angelina County Sheriff's Office, filed paperwork to charge Schakosky for the bettery theft cases in Angelina County as well.

A hold has been placed on Schakosky, and he will be transferred to Angelina County Jail once he is released from Cherokee County.
