Crash happened on Gulf Freeway near Woodridge about 12:30 a.m.

Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; A man died in a traffic crash on Interstate 45 southeast of downtown when a car collided with his pickup truck that had hit a wall along the freeway.

The two-vehicle wreck occurred on the northbound Gulf Freeway near Woodridge about 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the driver of a pickup was traveling north on the Gulf Freeway when he lost control of the truck, and it hit a wall along the freeway. A witnesses who saw the wreck stopped to help him.
