***UPDATE 2***
TYLER - A man that led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Smith County and the City of Tyler has been identified as Lucio Adan.
Lt. Tony Dana of the Smith County Sheriff's Office says the chase began at the 300 block of North/Northwest Loop 323, when police tried to serve Adan a drug warrant. Deputies say that's when Adan sped off, ramming two law enforcement vehicles in the process.
Dana says the chase continued into the city of Tyler where Adan abandoned his car and started running. Police quickly caught up with him at the Green Acres shopping center. Officials say they aren't sure why Adan stopped his car, because they didn't use spikes on his tires.
Adan is being held on a bond of $1.35 million, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest and manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance.
