Man robbed, shot at in Nacogdoches
Nacogdoches, TX — One man who was selling baseball caps out of the trunk of his car said three men appeared interested in buying some caps, and had asked him to meet them later on Stone Street, then robbed him at gunpoint, according to Nacogdoches Police Department Public Information Officer Greg Sowell.
"The victim went to meet them on Stone Street, he again contacted these three people and two of them threatened him with long guns and took two duffel bags containing ball caps," Sowell said.
The incident happened in the 200 block of Stone Street at about 4:35 p.m. Tuesday.
After taking the bags, the three men ran to a nearby dark-colored Mitsubishi and began to drive away with the victim following in his car.
"The victim followed the suspects outbound on Durst Street, and it appears one of the suspects discharged a firearm in the direction of the victim's vehicle, striking his vehicle with what appeared to be birdshot," Sowell said.
The victim was not injured.
