BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - A Georgia man found with 22 pounds of cocaine in an ice chest at a bus stop in Beaumont is going to prison.
U.S. Attorney John Bales says 36-year-old Norberto Sanchez-Sanchez of Atlanta was sentenced Friday to 57 months in federal prison for drug trafficking violations.
Sanchez-Sanchez in February pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He also must forfeit $200,000.
Prosecutors say Sanchez was arrested last November and had the cocaine hidden in an ice chest that he was attempting to transport from Houston to Atlanta.
