Man stabbed to death in Nacogdoches; Woman arrested on scene
Nacogdoches, TX (KETK) — A Nacogdoches man was stabbed to death late Thursday night, according to the Nacogdoches Police Department.
Authorities tell KETK that they were called to the reported stabbing on the 300 block of West Spradley Street around 11:30 pm.
When they arrived, they found the victim, Derek Maiden, 42, with a single stab wound on the upper portion of his body.
Maiden was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
He reportedly lived at the house, and investigators determined that he was stabbed with a knife in the kitchen area as a result of a domestic dispute.
Paula Yvette Harris, 39, was arrested on scene and charged with murder. She became ill at the police station, and was taken to the local hospital. She is still in police custody and will be taken to jail when she is released from the hospital.
