Marshall city funding sought for train depot project

MARSHALL — Marshall’s Amtrak station and the city’s Depot Museum could become more accessible in the future as plans to improve handicapped services move forward.
The East Texas Council of Governments has requested $65,000 in assistance from the City of Marshall for a diagonal lift in the tunnel leading to the Texas & Pacific Railroad Depot. ETCOG has already received $105,000 in federal grants matched by the Texas Department of Transportation.
