Marshall, TX —

City Commissioner Bill Marshall said passage of the city’s special election to change its sales tax allocation would hurt the Marshall school district.

Marshall delivered his warning this week during the public comment section of the Marshall ISD board meeting.

Known as Proposition No. 3, the allocation will carve a quarter of the funding from Marshall Economic Development Corp. to be dedicated for street maintenance.
