A natural gas pipeline has exploded in northwest Oklahoma.

It happened late last night in the town of Rosston.

Flames shot so high in the air, the fire was visible from 50-miles away.

A spokesperson for the northern natural gas company says the cause of the explosion is not yet known, but firefighters have contained the fire and are letting it burn itself out.

Four homes were evacuated as a precaution.

No one was hurt.
