Meals on Wheels Ministry has announced they will be closed due to winter weather conditions on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

The ministry serves more than 3,000 clients in Henderson, Gregg, Smith, Van Zandt, Upshur, and Wood County.

"We provide all our clients with shelf-stable meals for days such as these," said Meals on Wheels President/CEO Mike Powell. "We serve over 3,000 clients every day, and that's a lot of cars on the road. From our kitchen and office staff, to our paid and volunteer drivers, we want to ensure the safety of all those who make our ministry possible."

Meals on Wheels volunteers and site managers across all six counties do not need to deliver Wednesday, February 12, but the organization expects to resume services Thursday.
