RPT: Search for missing Jasper man ends after authorities find body

Media reports state authorities are no longer searching for a missing Jasper man after his body was found.

According to 12News in Beaumont, Alfred Wright, 28, was found dead near Highway 87 and Coussans Road, the location where he was last known to be.

Since Wright disappeared on November 7, authorities, including a private investigator, have scoured the area for any clues as to where he could have gone. When the father of three was last heard from, he was reportedly have trouble with his truck and had stopped in rural area off HIghway 87 near Hemphill.

Alfred was last spotted at the CL&M Grocery at 4650 Highway 87 South in Hemphill.

It is unclear if foul play is a factor in Wright's death.

Local law enforcement has yet to comment on the discovery.

The local sheriff really went all out in that initial search, didn't he? Found his shoes, his scrubs, his car keys- and stopped looking. Used all his resources up he said. Then they find his body just a few hundred yards away, within shouting distance.. Sad. Time to get rid of that sheriff.
