UNDATED (AP) - Heavy ticket sales in 42 states and the District of Columbia have pushed Friday night's Mega Millions jackpot even higher, as frenzied lottery players line up for a chance at a fortune.
 

The kitty is now $312 million, up from the initial estimate of $304 million. The game has been without a top winner since the February 1st drawing.
 

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot is also in 9 figures for Saturday evening, at $125 million.
