Meth busts made in Lufkin, Huntington

AS REPORTED IN THE LUFKIN DAILY NEWS:
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made two methamphetamine busts Thursday morning, one each in Lufkin and Huntington.
Inside 48-year-old James Lynn Spencer’s home on Bremond Avenue, investigators found four grams of meth, two rifles, one shotgun and one handgun.
Spencer, a convicted felon for a homicide he committed in 1986, has been a repeat offender during his years on parole, according to investigator Tom Matthews.
“We’ve been watching his residence for quite some time because he is a known crystal meth dealer,” Matthews said.
The amount of meth found at Spencer’s home has a street value of $700. A small amount of cash was also seized from the home, Matthews said.
