FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - According to the Associated Press, a military hearing to determine whether Major Nidal Hasan should stand trial in 2009's deadly shooting rampage at Fort Hood is expected to wrap up today.
The hearing for the Army psychiatrist has been on hold for about three weeks. Wounded soldiers from the shooting have already testified.
Lead defense attorney John Galligan says he doesn't plan to present any evidence. The hearing is expected to conclude shortly after it resumes today.
Hasan is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder. The shooting happened November 5, 2009.
The commanding general at Fort Hood will also decide whether Hasan should be court-martialed.
