More money being shelled out this summer
June 8, 2009 - 5:10pm
TYLER-More than 600,000 jobs will be created this summer, according to President Obama.
The jobs will be created through the President's $787 billion stimulus plan. Federal agencies will be pumping billions into public works projects, schools and summer youth programs.
Tyler ISD told us they are receiving some of the money this summer and are currently figuring out the best ways to use it.
"We have two years of funding we will be receiving and what were doing is were taking a look at our recent tax scores to designate our plans on what were doing to be doing," Kim Tunnell of Tyler ISD said.
Still, unemployment is at it's highest rate in more than 25 years. And the President warned there's no quick fix to our current economic state.

OK..LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT...MONEY WILL BE FREELY SPENT,THAT WAS FREELY GIVEN BY THE GOVERNMENT,TO PEOPLE WHO WILL GO BUILD THINGS,AND CREATE PROGRAMS...THAT COST THE WORKING FOLK TO GO TO OR USE..OK...SO WE GET "ROBBED" BY OBAMA,TO DO GOOD THINGS,TO TAX US AGAIN ON THOSE THINGS THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE MONEY FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE.....ALRIGHTY THEN....I BET I KNOW WHOSE PICTURE IS IN THE DICTIONARY UNDER THE WORD "BRAINLESS"!!!!
