A some people dream of having a baby girl or boy.

It used to be those matters were left to chance.  Not anymore.

A fertility clinic in North Texas offers to almost guarantee the sex of the baby.

Through in vitro fertilization, egg cells are fertilized by sperm in a lab and tested for all 23 chromosomes in the DNA.

Hereditary disorders, birth defects and gender can all be revealed, allowing the mother to pick which embryo or embryos to transfer back into her body.

One doctor says more of his patients want to select the sex of their child, and they pay between $10,000-$15,000 to do so.

Totally cool with this ('cept for the price--sheesh!)

It's not like it's a terribly complex process, other than the invito part, I mean, you basically put sperm in a centrifuge, spin it, and the girls with the heavier X chromosomes sink to the bottom.

Considering some people will have half a dozen children trying to get to get one they want this is very likely a good thing that will save the parents and society money in the long run!
