More than 80 people injured in crash on I-10

JEFFERSON COUNTY, TX.-More than 50 vehicles were involved in a crash near Beaumont at about nine o'clock Thursday morning on Interstate 10.

The interstate was shut down in both directions.

A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy says there were no initial reports of fatalities or critical injuries.

There were also no fires, despite gas tanks being ripped off 18-wheelers during the massive wreck.

Authorities believe fog is to blame for the pile-up.

NO NO NO - fog was not to blame - Irresponsible drivers, driving above the speed at which they had reasonable visability is to blame. Ticket them.
