Joggers, Cyclists, Walkers to soon have more trails in Tyler

Tyler—

Expect to see more trails stretching through south Tyler.

Workers have been paving sidewalks and laying cement along Grande Boulevard.

They'll meet up with trails at Rose Rudman Park..

City officials say 80 percent of the expansion funding comes from the Federal Highway Admistration.

The other 20 percent - from Tyler's half-cent sales tax.

Concrete construction is expected to be complete by the end of March.

Final touches to the trail should be complete by the end of April.

Carter Delleney; a city engineer says; "The project should be completed just in time for the weather warming-up."

Delleney adds; "It's gonna be a fantastic trail for everyone to enjoy."

Total cost for the trail's expansion is just about three-point-one million dollars.
