Deputies say the woman then tried killing herself

Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; a woman killed her two children Tuesday night then apparently tried to kill herself, officials with the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators are at a home in the 16000 block of Sandy Path Lane, near West Little York and Highway 6.

The woman killed a boy and a girl, each under 5 years old, officials said.

She has a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
