Mother’s were honored and remembered on Mother’s Day at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.

Exodus 20: ~We are called to honor our mother and father every day, but Mothers deserve special honor~ That was the special message at service on Sunday morning.

Alexis Harris is remembering her mom. “Mother’s Day is so special and I actually lost my mom recently so I think Mother’s Day is special and if I could tell her I love her I will.” She tells us she feels close to her mom at church.

A mother and her daughters say, “Mother’s Day is every day, it’s how you treat your mother and parents, and the things you do for them all year long,” said Tempest Kelly.

A message one loving son wanted to send his mom, “I just wanted to say thank you for putting up with me throughout the years, even though I’m graduation you will always be in my heart, I will always remember you, I love you with all my heart,” said James Noble.

The Ikners from Tyler were in church saying a Mother’s Day prayer and reflecting on the day. “I had a wonderful mother grandmother, and for a family like this I’m just so grateful, every day I think about things like my heritage,” said Gary Ikner.

Gary Ikner says his wife Charlene is a loving mother. “Giving guidance to my children throughout their life the best I know how and living everyday before them, an example of a Christian mother,” said Charlene Ikner.

Wherever it is you say a Mother’s Day prayer, she’ll know you’re thinking of her.
