Motorcycle hits deer in Smith County, two injured

Smith County officials have confirmed with KETK there were injuries in a motorcycle wreck in Smith County.

It happened earlier this afternoon on Highway 110 just north of Whitehouse.

Whitehouse Fire officials tell KETK that a deer was crossing the road when two peopile on a motorcycle collided into the deer.

Fortunately there were no fatalities, but both the driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

Whitehouse officials are still on scene at this time.

I've owned three motorcycles and have over 50K miles on them. Yes it crossed my mind several times I could hit a cow, or deer, or hog. I love bikes but you must be very careful and alert at all times.
