Motorcyclist leads officers on three-county chase

Law enforcement officers from at least five agencies helped apprehend a man who had allegedly evaded police two times Thursday morning on motorcycles.

Police say they arrested Michael Koch, 32, on CR 2223 in Wood County after he ditched a motorcycle at the intersection of CR 2223 and CR 2220. Pct. 2 Constable Ed Shadbolt and Mineola police Captain Jack Newman caught Koch.

Earlier in the day, the man had run from officers in Wood, Van Zandt and Smith Counties.
