For 28 years, the Moving Vietnam Wall has been traveling across the country to give people the chance to see the monument without being in Washington D.C.

This weekend the Wall is Henderson at Rader Funeral Home, and will be open for viewing 24 hours a day through Sunday.

Click on the video above to hear the story of a Nacogdoches Vietnam veteran who makes a point to see the wall whenever it's in the area, and why monuments such as this a so important to him, and those who fought alongside him.

I'm very proud of my father, John Hill. I am also thankful that his name is not in that Wall, if it was, mine would not be on this post. 13 years ago he gave me the Gift of Life by giving me his Kidney in a transplant. I love him very much for his sacrifice for me, his family and his country.
