Mud, dirt, food, competition, music and of course...ATV's.

It's the 10th Annual 'HighLifter' Mud Nationals in Jacksonville.

Scott Smith started the event about 10 years ago.  With thousands of people coming to Jacksonville, he wonders what sort of economic boost they get from it.

"I do know that every motel room is full, every restaurant is full.  All the convenience stores sell out of just about everything they have...I would like to think that we really bring a positive impact to Jacksonville," Smith said.

They say it's the largest ATV event in the world.

"There's probably 80 to 90 people from Sweden in Jacksonville every year just for this event," Smith said.

A few guys from Oreion Motors were there advertising for a brand new type of ATV that's street legal.

"Big response on these, you know, they're different and that's what people want to see, something different," said an Oreion rep.

And no, it's not just guys that come to the Mud Nationals...Elana Ritchey and Carly Britnell from Bridge City are on the clock actually - working on ATV's.

"Right now it's just a bunch of broken axles, oil changes, people buying bigger tires," Ritchey said.

But, they still manage to have fun when they're done.

"We pretty much load up and meet all our customers and friends and ride," Ritchey said.
